• May the Juche ideology, the three-generation hereditary dictatorship of the Kim Il-sung family, and the deification/idolization regime in North Korea come to an end swiftly, so that life and freedom may be guaranteed to North Korean residents who are suffering and dying from hunger and disease inside the great prison that is North Korea.

2. "Shut your crazy mouth" – Even Prostitution Coercion… The Reality of North Korean Overseas Workers

A statement was issued by the U.S. Congress calling for a halt to all imports from Chinese companies that use North Korean forced labor. Nevertheless, it is still easy to find North Korean workers in groups heading to work or out on the streets accompanied by supervisors in China. Interviews with North Korean workers suffering forced labor in China revealed that they work 14–15 hours a day, 6–7 days a week, and are allowed to go out only once every two or three months — even then, only under surveillance. “We wake up at 6:30 a.m., eat, and start working at 7:30 a.m. Many days we work until 10 p.m., sometimes even until 11.” When factories shut down during the COVID-19 period, women were reportedly coerced into prostitution. Chinese supervisors revealed that North Korean managers agreed to offers of 5,000 yuan if North Korean women were provided for the drinking parties of wealthy men. Some women said that when summoned by managers, they were nearly raped, or when they protested being called to drinking parties, they were verbally abused with insults like, "Shut your crazy mouth." Reporting these incidents was useless. Instead, the offending officials could accuse them of false reports and have the victimized North Korean women forcibly repatriated. This violates not only North Korean law but also Chinese labor law, yet workers say that there has never been any punishment for the managers.

• North Korean workers suffering forced labor in China work 14–15 hours a day, 6–7 days a week, and even when allowed to go out once every two or three months, they are accompanied by a monitor. Female workers also face coercion into prostitution and threats of sexual assault. Have mercy on these overseas North Korean workers, living like slaves in a foreign land, constantly monitored in every aspect of their lives.
• May the unification of Korea through the gospel and freedom of democracy come quickly, so that North Korean workers can enjoy labor rights, and so that a just North Korean society may be established where they are no longer exploited by the regime for the wages they earn.

3. South Korean Government Halts Broadcasts to North Korea… “Psychological Warfare Broadcasts Down 80%, North Korea Wins the Information War”

38 North, a U.S. media outlet specializing in North Korea, noted that “Echo of Hope and Voice of the People, run by the NIS since 1973 and the mid-1980s respectively, have never once ceased broadcasting regardless of inter-Korean political conditions,” warning that “if the situation on the peninsula deteriorates, South Korea and the U.S. will regret having lost a direct link to the North Korean people.” The report added, “The Workers' Party of North Korea has fought against the inflow of uncensored information for decades, and they must find it hard to believe their luck now,” calling the halt of these broadcasts “a victory for North Korea in the information war.”

Currently, ongoing broadcasts include KBS Hanminjok Radio and the Ministry of National Defense’s “Voice of Freedom,” the BBC World Service which airs only 30 minutes a day, and private organizations’ broadcasts such as Free North Korea Radio, North Korea Reform Radio, and Unification Media Group which operate about 2–3 hours a day.
