Prayer Points:
"The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but victory rests with the Lord." (Proverbs 21:31)
○ North Korea strongly opposed the U.S. revision of the "nuclear weapons operational guidelines" in anticipation of possible nuclear cooperation between North Korea, China, and Russia, declaring that it would strengthen its nuclear forces to protect its security interests. Lord, if there is any evil alliance or nuclear cooperation that threatens peace on the Korean Peninsula and international security, let it be neutralized.
○ May God personally protect the defense and security of South Korea. Strengthen the trilateral security cooperation between South Korea, the United States, and Japan to effectively guard against North Korea's nuclear and missile threats, ensuring thorough protection for our nation and the Asia-Pacific region.
2. North Korea Accepted Russian Aid Despite Initially Refusing External Flood Relief
The North Korean Workers' Party's official newspaper, Rodong Sinmun, reported on the 11th that members of the Central Committee's Politburo delivered aid prepared by the Central Committee to residents in flood-affected areas of Jagang Province.
On August 11, North Korea's official newspaper, Rodong Sinmun, reported that members of the Central Committee delivered aid to flood-affected residents in Jagang Province. Despite declaring late last month that it would reject external aid, North Korea reportedly accepted food and supplies from Russia. Radio Free Asia (RFA) reported that food items like grain, sugar, butter, and cooking oil from Russia were delivered to the Tumen River station and then distributed to flood-affected areas in North Korea. A source reported that a woman in her 40s who exclaimed "Long live Putin" upon receiving butter was taken by security forces, wrote a self-criticism letter, and was released the next day. North Korean leader Kim Jong-un emphasized a "self-reliant approach" in a speech on August 10 but also mentioned that they would seek help from their "most sincere friends" in Moscow if needed. North Korea has yet to respond to South Korea's offer of assistance.

Prayer Points:
"Because of the oppression of the weak and the groaning of the needy, I will now arise," says the Lord. "I will protect them from those who malign them." (Psalm 12:5)
○ We are thankful that aid was provided to North Koreans affected by severe flooding last month. Pray that the aid reaches all the flood victims who need it, not just a select privileged few.
○ Pray for the establishment of leaders in North Korea who fear God, respect human rights, and prioritize the well-being and basic needs of the people.
3. The World of North Korean IT Labor Revealed Through a Hacked Developer's PC
Introduction of a North Korean IT Developer." KBS obtained data stored on the developer's PC, which was posted on the ‘Dark Web’.
A hacked North Korean IT developer's computer has exposed that North Korean IT workers are engaged in covert overseas employment or freelance work, such as app development. The leaked data includes the developer's name and evidence that he worked on over ten domestic apps, confirming his North Korean identity through family correspondence. Most of these activities were arranged through job-seeking websites, where the developer presented himself as an overseas freelancer. Domestic app companies reported that they had no idea they were working with a North Korean developer and communicated only through social media.
The alarming aspect is that there may be many more North Korean IT workers operating in a similar fashion. These developers, driven by the targets set by North Korean authorities, may sometimes embed malicious code in apps, leading to secondary and tertiary cyber-attacks. Security experts emphasize the importance of thoroughly verifying the identity of external developers and paying close attention to the language and terminology used during the app development and update processes, as North Korean-style terms may be indicative of the developer's origins.

Prayer Points:
"A fortune made by a lying tongue is a fleeting vapor and a deadly snare." (Proverbs 21:6)
○ Pray for heightened awareness and vigilance among government agencies and private companies against the cybersecurity threats posed by North Korea. May they establish a strong and secure cyber defense system through public-private cooperation and develop the technological capabilities to respond immediately to cyber-attacks.
○ North Korea attempted an average of one million cyber-attacks per day on South Korea during the first half of last year. Pray for the swift enactment of a Cybersecurity Basic Law in the National Assembly, allowing South Korea to establish a national-level cybersecurity control tower, similar to those in other advanced countries.
○ North Korea generates illegal revenue through cyber hacking and cryptocurrency, using the funds to develop nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles, thereby threatening global security. Pray for the international community to cooperate thoroughly in responding to North Korea's cybercrimes, ensuring that such activities are eradicated.
