1. During COVID, We Were in Re-education Camps (Part 1): The Blood, Sweat, and Tears of Female Lifers

ￏ Lord, have mercy on North Korean lifers who are forced into 16-hour daily labor, even while isolated due to tuberculosis or malnutrition, living as modern-day slaves.

ￏ Although North Korea is a signatory to the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, it continues to violate human rights, including illegal forced labor. May the international community raise stronger voices of criticism against the North Korean regime. Through the United Nations Security Council meeting on North Korean human rights on the 12th, may the issues of serious human rights violations, such as slave labor, which are also tied to security concerns like nuclear missiles, be addressed and significantly improved.

ￏ Pray for the swift end of the Kim Il-sung Juche ideology, the three-generation hereditary dictatorship, and the idolization of the Kim family in North Korea. May the illegal dictatorial regime of Kim Jong-un, which treats its people as expendable for regime maintenance, end quickly. Pray for the establishment of leaders and governments that revere God, respect the lives and human rights of the people, and prioritize their basic needs and well-being.

2. North Announces "Temporary Suspension" on Day of Dirty Balloon Response Announcement

ￏ Pray that our government’s strong measures, including the suspension of the entire September 19 military agreement, effectively respond to North Korea's provocations, including the dirty balloon launches. May our military be well-prepared to protect the lives and safety of the people, ensuring peace on the Korean Peninsula.

ￏ There are concerns that North Korea’s provocations, such as dirty balloon launches, may be a strategy for future cyberterrorism. Pray for the swift revision of related legislation, such as the Electronic Government Act, to thoroughly defend against North Korea's increasingly sophisticated cyber attacks. May excellent personnel be deployed and robust security systems be established to protect our cyber security.

ￏ May God Himself guard our nation's defense and security. Protect the people from any harm, especially those living near the border. Furthermore, pray for the swift reunification of South and North Korea under free democracy and the gospel, ending the tense standoff and making Korea a nation that serves world peace through the gospel.

3. China Employs Large Number of North Korean Women in Seafood Factories

ￏ Pray for the North Korean workers in China’s seafood processing plants, who are forced into labor under harsh conditions. May they be delivered from their suffering and find safety and relief.

ￏ Although much of the income from North Korean workers is confiscated by the North Korean government to fund nuclear development and luxury goods for Kim Jong-un's regime, awareness of this issue has led to U.S. congressional hearings and large companies ceasing their business with Chinese seafood suppliers. However, in South Korea, the consumption of Chinese seafood continues almost unchanged, except for some companies. South Korea has been criticized as a "loophole in UN sanctions against North Korea." Pray that South Korea will stop importing Chinese seafood produced through forced labor, thereby ceasing to support North Korea's illegal exploitation of labor.

ￏ Lord, bring an end to the forced labor and human rights abuses in North Korea and its overseas operations. May the international community remain vigilant and take effective actions to prevent such violations.
