2. "North Koreans Becoming Christians after Watching Secular Russian Films"

○ We thank God for the various ways in which the truth of God's Gospel is spreading, even in the strict and controlled land of North Korea. We pray that the Gospel of Jesus Christ spreads like wildfire among North Korean compatriots, and that more of God's people are saved in this land of darkness and shadow of death through the powerful working of the Holy Spirit.

○ Despite strict regulations against possessing Bibles by authorities, we are thankful for the increasing distribution rate of the Bible within North Korea. We pray for the protection of channels through which the Bible is distributed and that North Koreans will have easier access to the Bible. May the day come soon when they can freely read and share the Gospel.

○ We pray for the activation of secret markets (jangmadang) and the influx of information from the outside world through various channels. May the consciousness of freedom and human rights awaken among the people of North Korea. We pray for a new unified generation in North Korea that recognizes the serious flaws in the regime and aspires to freedom and democracy.

○ On December 20, for the 19th consecutive year, a resolution on North Korean human rights was adopted at the UN General Assembly. This year, the prohibition of 'forced repatriation from the North' for defectors was added. We now pray for China to comply with the UN Convention Against Torture and uphold the principle of non-refoulement, protecting and preventing additional forced repatriations of defectors detained in China.
